The best friend of Saskia Jones, who was killed in the London Bridge attack, has spoken of her heartbreak and numbness after the death of her friend.
Gee Groves, 20, said she would never be able to get over Jones’ death.
She said :”I couldn’t accept it, I didn’t want to and don’t think I ever will.”
“I froze. I couldn’t believe it had happened to our Sas. I was angry, shocked and sad.”
Jones, 23, from Stratford-upon-Aavon,was killed in Fishermans Hall, London Bridge at an event for Learning Together campaign, which educates offenders whilst they serve their sentence-which she volunteered for.

Leaving a celebration of the programme of five years, Jones was stabbed along with the Jack Meritt, and later died in hospital.
Groves said her friend- who completed her masters at Cambridge University- helped her overcome another loss this year.
She said “she helped me come to terms with it… I couldn’t have gotten through it without her.”
Groves and Jones had been friends for years. They met after Jones said she liked her coat, ” I passed her every morning and we would make a joke about something. Then two weeks later we were best friends,” said Groves. It was “just so easy to be friends with her, we would see each other everyday.”
Groves reflected on how an act of terrorism can affect anyone: “you never think something like that is going to happen to someone you care about, that terrorism would come so close to home.”
Groves suggested how society needs to change after the incident: “if people had half the heart she did, the world would be a happier place.” she added “I want people to be kind, to spread happiness.”
Jones had a previous degree in criminology and psychology before completing a degree at Cambridge University. The BBC said she volunteered at prisons working with inmates and was in the process of applying to become a police officer.
Her killer Usman Khan 28, was shot dead by police on London bridge after attack, had been present at the event.
Khan had been released from jail after plotting to blow up the London stock exchange. It was confirmed he was part of nine extremist groups and was a jihadi. Kahn was to never to be released from prison unless he was no longer a threat, however this was withdrawn, and he was released on licence.

Groves- a waitress- said: “I was about to start work…when an old school friend messaged me and told me she was sorry to hear about my friend. I was so confused.”
“A week on, I am still texting and calling her …for it to only cut out because I forget.”
In an inquest at the Old Baily, London, heard Jones died after she was stabbed in the chest.
Groves-who has been sick for days- said “I see pictures of her in the paper and it breaks my heart…I still feel numb.”
Khan’s body has been flown back to Pakistan to be buried after a pre-burial ritual in Birmingham
A full inquest into the death of Jones and the other victim-Jack Meritt is still to be decided.
