Brixton Introduces It’s First Vegan Market

“Over the years, vegan eating has gone from tasteless to trendy to making inroads into the mainstream.” Brixton’s fruity and diverse market has officially expanded with a new vegan market located next to the established farmers market. According to Brixton Buzz online the market’s purpose is to “support and serve the local community of Brixton.” The site has also said it aims to “encourage new businesses creativity, alongside regular market traders.”

A statement from the vegan life suggested “At least 542,000 people in Britain are now following a vegan diet and never consume any animal products including meat, fish, milk, cheese, eggs and honey. This is an increase of over 350% since the last estimate of 150,000 ten years ago, making veganism one of Britain’s fastest growing lifestyle movements.” The vast rise in veganism has not only increased Britain’s lifestyle movements but has also attracted  more people to explore the local area of Brixton.

Briton Buzz confirmed that the market will be “open to the public every Sunday from 9:30am- 3:30pm.” The exciting new market is said to include “international street food and eco-friendly ethical gifts.” The outdoor market has also announced to run occasional raffles, special competitions and promotions each week for the local community of Brixton, even on Christmas eve!
