Dulwich to pull another Christmas cracker this season

Festivities in Dulwich are set to kick off with the annual Christmas fair at Dulwich College on Saturday 30 November, where more than 120 stalls will be featured, some of which being small businesses local to the area.

Organisers of the event said it is highly anticipated by families across the borough each year and will run from 10:30am to 3:30pm. Along with the various stalls, a kid-zone and a visit from Father Christmas will also star at the popular seasonal event. Local resident Bette Archers said last year’s celebrations captured the spirit of the season, she said :“It was lovely seeing the young ones and families enjoying the event,” Archers went on to say: “There is such a strong sense of community.”

Attendees can look forward to an array of street food vendors and bespoke gifs for loved ones around the festive season.

Celebrations continue at the Holly Fair on the 3 December, organised by the Alleyn’s parents association, offering festive food, drinks and gifts. Later that month , residents are encouraged to partake in Christmas wreath-making workshops on 26 November and 8 December at The Bell House, where mulled wine and mince pies will be served alongside. The venue will also host The Magic of Christmas, a family-friendly magic show running on 21 and 23 December.

Meanwhile, The Dulwich Picture Gallery will hold its annual Christmas concert at Christ’s Chapel on 9 December, featuring traditional carols and seasonal readings.

With a busy schedule of fairs, workshops and performances ahead, Dulwich is set to celebrate the season ,bringing lights, music and a strong sense of community spirit to close out the year.
