‘Brixton’s R Kelly’: 19 year-old serial rapist charged with 22 accounts of rape

A teenage predator labelled as “evil”  and “demonic” is responsible for raping 6 girls over a 3 year period is still awaiting his sentence on 18 December.

The trial in a London Crown court follows Queens’ initial arrest on 8th April 2022 in relation to 2 accounts of rape. Subsequently, he was arrested on 8th August 2022 on further rape charges which he denied – claiming that they were “hate campaigns”

Kevarnie Queen had groomed his young victims over social media platforms via snapchat before he decided to attack them, 5 out of 6 victims were merely 15 when he raped them. Queen weaponized the young girls’ insecurities [like body shaming] to prevent them from going to the police.

Queen convicted on 22 accounts of rape that were carried out between May 2019 and May 2022, appeared at Southwark Crown Court in front of Judge Usha Karu.

During the trial he sat impassively with no sign of remorse, the court heard harrowing tales of his depravity. The court heard that after befriending the women, Queen would then stalk and attack them in secluded public locations.

Queens victims revealed to the court how some were left feeling suicidal, unable to leave the house and became extremely fearful of men – “I live in constant fear. I cannot erase the memories of what Kevarnie did to me” said one of his victims. “I will never be able to live purely again… I will never get my innocence back” another one of his victims who was raped on the stairwell opposite his home.

Another victim – who was involved in an abusive and controlling 2 year relationship – said “He is only sorry he got caught. He didn’ treat me like a human…  [Queen] was and always will be a danger to all girls and women.”

Queen denies all charges, he dubs himself a player and he told the court that it was all consensual and the victims were all lying as part of a “hate campaign.”

The court was informed that he was stabbed twice and was put on 24-hour isolation by jail bosses on 13 December.

Laurie-Anner Power the Barrister representing Queen pleaded with the court to sentence him as a 15 year-old as that was when his repugnant plan began. However, many are in agreement that he should feel the full effect and be tried as an adult.

With bail refused, Queen remains in custody with a verdict in the case being expected on 18th december.
