Venn Street Market: fresh food market with fantastic experience

The Venn Street Market is a place for farmers and independent producers to sell their fresh food. It is now reopen every Saturday from 10am to 4pm in Clapham Common. The market gives the local community a chance to buy fresh food from local producers face to face.

The Venn Street Market was opened in 20o9 by Lambeth Council and is open every weekend. The Traders include Perry Court Farm, Portland Scallop Co, Olivier’s Bakery and so on. They sell various foods including ham, cheese, fruit and vegetables. There are also several places offering pizza, chocolate, drinks and even flowers for local community and customers from other area.

The market used to be open every year and has a good reputation among the local people. “I trust here, I used to buy the vegetables and its absolutely fresh.” explained by a passenger, a lady who lived here for more than 3 years.” Emily, a mother of 3, said “well, it is near and convenience. And the most important thing is cheap.”
