That is, according to a group of colour experts who study such things for a living. Those interested in finding out why are invited to go to an all-day event in Clapham dubbed an international colours day.

The best way to understand why is if you look at our surroundings we are always surrounded by trees, trees and nature is a sign of life. It’s why we go to the park when the sun is out or why we sit outside in the garden during the summer.

Today is the international colours day event and Britain’s very own division is running an event from 10am – 5pm in Clapham Common

The Colour Group are urging those interested to come down to Clapham today for a fun filled event regarding our perception of reality and how it directly correlates with colour.

The international colour day is represented by the Colour Group in England, which was founded in 1940.  The group is a society that truly appreciates colour for what it gives to human beings on a daily basis.

The colour group hold monthly meeting between October-May which provides a platform to exchange contact details for like minded people. To find out about future events the colour group issues a weekly newsletter which lists dates of future meetings= and other related news to colour.

New applications are always welcome, the membership fee is an annual cost of £20.00 however the colour group is a registered charity and all staff are voluntary.

It is taking place on the 21st of March from 10.00 am to 17.00 pm, it is situated in the old Clapham library building at 1 Northside, Clapham Common, SW4 OQW, near the Starbucks at the southerly end of Old Town.
