Whether it is hand sewn unicorn pillows, couples enjoying freshly cooked crepes or a display of cool handmade jewellery, Pop Brixton’s annual Christmas Market has it all.
This weekend, they opened the doors of their own trendy Winter Wonderland to rave reviews.
The space is usually home to over 50 independent businesses, all housed in stacked shipping containers. Including a barbers, vintage shop, locally beers and street food.
The festive cheer was fuelled by £6.50 mulled wine and masses of Christmas neon but the centrepiece was the 18ft glowing tree, decorated with small fairy lights.
Many were bowled over by Pop Brixton’s first winter weekender, taking to Twitter and Instagram to express their festive cheer:
Had my first experience of @PopBrixton last night. #OMGB loved all the lights and Christmas trees. More festivity in London! pic.twitter.com/EpVhOgRHuW

Checking out @PopBrixton‘s Christmas market for @SW_Londoner – great to see a place that’s got such a strong community ethos.

Brixton has become the home of the best Christmas pop ups in London that are far trendier than Leicester Square or Hyde Park’s super commercial Winter Wonderland. Danielle Ran, 19 said: “Brixton at Christmas, especially Pop Brixton feels so much more authentic than other parts of the city. Also this isn’t ridiculously overpriced!”.
The Prince Of Wales’ rooftop bar has been turned into a C.S Lewis themed ‘Brixtarnia’ its filled with Bratwurst, Karaoke and of course a magical wardrobe that leads you to a photobooth linked directly to your Instagram.
The team behind Brixton Beach Boulevard on Popes Road have also renovated their space for Christmas. Inspired by New York in 1977, guests can enjoy cocktail bars, street food and breakdancing battles.
Pop Brixton’s Christmas market is running every weekend and during the week leading up to the big day on Station Road.
