The culinary kitchen of the American south makes its way to Brixton for a food festival like no other. The world’s best meat grillers from the US are hopping over the pond to take part in the four-day fest.

Ribfest 2016, follows previous but much smaller rib-styled celebrations such as the popular East London Ribstock event. The alfresco food festival, which is being hosted by The Blues Kitchen, Brixton, is expected to attract large crowds, with high quality food and drink on offer all week.

The star-studded chef line-up includes American Youtube-celeb DJ BBQ on Monday March 28, who’s team are accompanied with a state-of-the-art 108-inch rib cooking smoker. He’ll be followed by London street food legend The Rib Man on Tuesday 29, offering his signature baby-back ribs doused in his famous hot sauces.

Live music features throughout the week and will include blues from Dave James on Monday, bluegrass from Ben Sommers Band on Tuesday and swing from Old Hat Jazz Band on Wednesday, while at Thursday’s finale there will be a live butchery session from Blues Kitchen chef Niall Davidson.
