A teenage boy was found after with multiple injuries after a brutal assault with a glass bottle, police have confirmed.
Police and an ambulance team were called to Gresham Road in Brixton at 9.35pm after someone found the injured boy. No arrests have been made.
It has been assumed that the injuries he suffered were caused by a bottle that was recovered by the police.
The boy was rushed to a nearby hospital in South London where his injuries were found to be not life threatening.
The road was closed and buses did not run between Loughborough Junction Station and Lambeth Town Hall.
Gemma Bina, a local resident, tweeted on the night of events: “Just walked out of a restaurant on Coldharbour Lane to yet another stabbing. Cordoned off, police everywhere.
She also added: “What the f*ck is going on?!”

National Statistics figures revealed the fact that there were 39,332 knife offences in June 2018; which is the highest number on record and represents a 12 per cent increase on the previous year. Additionally, 15,000 of these knife crimes took place in London.
