£10,000 reward for suspected linked sexual assault attacker in Clapham.

“The victims were left traumatised!” says chief inspector as police put out an award of £10,000 for anyone who can find an Asian man who may be responsible to three previous sexual assault attacks from last year in Clapham common.

The police have mentioned the man is as an Asian man, aged between 25 and 35, of medium build and around 5 ft. 5inch with short black hair and has an English accent.

Detective chief inspector Melissa Laremore, from the Mets Child abuse and sexual offenses command mentioned that images had been publicly released via CCTV of the suspect in November last year but have not been able to have any positive identification or information.

The first attack happened on the morning of May 22, 2016, where a woman fought off the sexual attacker in the communal hallway of a residential building on Clapham common south side.

Around a month later on June 26, 2016 at 2:00am a 27-year-old women was approached from behind by a man who pushed her into a communal area at a block of flats in Klea Avenue, Clapham.

After the first two attacks, chief inspector Mellissa Laremore goes on to add: “The third victim came forward saying they were also sexually assaulted by a man fitting the same description in the same area of Clapham.”

This last victim was attacked on October 12, 2016 at around 10:30pm. The 25-year-old woman was walking down Cavendish Road, SW4 when the engaged with a conversation before assaulting her.

The police believe It is highly likely that these attacks are linked as the first two incident are in similar areas and were at similar times, and both witness accounts for the description of the suspect matched each other.
